The 2008 ADOMA Conference
The Executive Board would like to thank the Conference Committee for all their hard work in putting on the 2008 ADOMA conference at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Ventura Beach.
We had wonderful speakers and informative
topics.
- Lee Holden, Auto Compliance Consultants – GLB Safeguards Rule & FACT Act Red Flags Identity Theft Program
- Benchmark Accounting, Controlling Expenses – many ideas were shared
- Fixed Ops:
- Tom Hern, Senior Automotive Consultant – gave us many useful formulas to determine profitability & provided a disk with all the formulas ready to use
- Sam Celly, Celly Services Inc – OSHA compliance, new laws, worker’s compensation
- Ana Rosique, Independent Consultant – Parts inventory reconciliations
- Jim Potts, Potts & Associates - Leadership Skills, Delegating & Monitoring – the skills that business/office managers need
- Marie Elena Rigo, Feng Shui consultant – Embracing our space, cleaning the clutter to bring our offices into harmony & balance
We visited the Vendor Faire to see what new & excited products & services are available to the business office. The vendors brought many give-aways and door prizes.
Saturday night entertainment included a Latin Band, a dance exposition of different dance styles, and a lesson in Salsa dancing. Dinner, conversation & dancing – what a great evening!

We’ll be staying at the Lake Arrowhead Resort & Spa. It’s a pet friendly resort so fido & fifi can come too!
